Moto G14 arrives in Australia with Dolby Atmos support and 50MP AI camera for $229

Motorola have launched the latest in their hugely popular mid-tier Moto G series, with the Moto G14 now available in Australia for $229.

The Moto G14 brings premium features including a 6.5″ Full HD+ display with immersive audio of Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. It’s powered by an octa-core Unisoc Tiger SoC with 4GB RAM and 128GB built-in UFS 2.2 storage with microSD card support up to 1TB. There’s also a large 5000mAh battery sure to get you through the day.

There’s a 50MP main camera sensor on the rear with a 2MP Macrovision sensor alongside and an 8MP Selfie camera on the front. The main sensor uses Quad Pixel technology to offer up to ‘4x better low light sensitivity’ says Motorola.

The Moto G14 will be offered in water-repellent design to protect it from spills and splashes and will be available in either Steel Grey or in a special edition in Pale Lilac made from vegan leather, offering a softer touch feel on the rear and fingerprint-resistant finish for a premium look.

The phone will run Android 13 with Motorola’s My UX software offering users the option to customise their home screen themes, set unique fonts, colours and icon shapes to suit their style, or mood. There’s also gesture support built-in including the option to quickly turn on the torch with a simple chop gesture or launch the camera with a twist of the wrist.

Kurt Bonnici, Head of Motorola for Australia and New Zealand said,

“Since revolutionising the smartphone industry through our creation of the premium mid-tier market, Motorola has continued its commitment to delivering fantastic devices at an affordable price point. Our moto g family stands out because we deliver smartphones at an affordable price without compromising on the quality features that consumers want – and the moto g14 is no exception with its large Full HD+ display, immersive audio and long-lasting battery. Through our moto g family, we continue to democratise new technology, making the latest innovation and features widely accessible ensuring every consumer is able to find a device that not only meets their needs, but exceeds their expectation of a mid-tier smartphone.”

The Moto G14 in Pale Lilac and Steel Gray will be available from JB HiFi, Harvey Norman, Australia Post, The Good Guys, Big W, Bing Lee, Amazon and motorola.com.au. For Vodafone customers, you’ll be able to grab a Moto G14 from them soon, and we’ll update when we know more.
