OPPO launch two great looking smartphones into Australia, the Reno 10 5G and the A98 5G

OPPO has today launched their latest smartphones to Australia, the stunning Reno 10 5G and the most premium A-series smartphone ever launched by OPPO, the A98 5G.

OPPO Reno 10 5G

The OPPO Reno 10 5G arrives with an upgraded imaging system and is designed to be a mid-range photographic beast.  The 7.99mm thin design features 3D curved sides and weighs in at just 185 grams while at the same time feeling extremely solid and premium.

The new Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System of the Reno 10 5G includes a triple camera combo composed of an industry-first 32MP Telephoto Portrait camera powered by a Sony IMX709 RGBW sensor.  The 2X optical zoom and upgraded portrait mode allows users to shoot natural, clear portraits in all environments.  This portrait mode is and always has been a feature of Reno phones of yesteryear.

The main sensor in the triple rear camera alongside the 32MP telephoto portrait camera is a 64MP half inch sensor allowing for much for light capture and this much better low light imaging.

“We’re proud to introduce the Reno10 5G to the Australian market, combining our signature Reno Glow design with premium features and unparalleled photography capabilities. With its remarkable Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System and 2X Telephoto Portrait Camera, the Reno10 5G takes the portrait shooting experience to new heights,” said Michael Tran, Managing Director of OPPO Australia.

The display is a 120Hz refresh rate 3D curved 6.7-inch display encompasses most of the front of the phone with extremely minimal bezels resulting in a screen-to-body ratio of a massive 93 percent.

The Reno 10 5G also features OPPO’s 67W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge technology allowing the user to fully charge the 5,000mAh battery in around 47 minutes.  Powered by MediaTek’s high end Dimensity 7050 platform paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage the Reno 10 5G offers power rarely seen in a mid-range smartphone.

Pricing & Availability

The OPPO Reno10 5G will be available to purchase from the 3rd of August at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and OPPO Australia’s Online Store in Ice Blue and Silvery Grey, with an RRP of $749.

OPPO A98 5G

The A98 5G is designed to deliver high level performance all day long on a massive 5,000mAh battery.  Charged through the use of OPPO’s 67W SUPERVOOC charging technology it certainly features battery technology reminiscent of a flagship smartphone.

Featuring a 6.72-inch 120Hz refresh rate display and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage it has specs never seen before in an A-series device.

“The OPPO A98 5G goes beyond meeting user expectations, delivering a smartphone experience that exceeds all boundaries. With its combination of premium features, top-tier battery performance, and immersive capabilities, the A98 5G outshines its entry-level category,” said OPPO Australia’s Managing Director, Michael Tran.

The rear camera system features an advanced 64MP AI camera, a 2MP Depth camera and a 2MP Microlens while the selfie camera is a decent 32MP camera.  The Microlens is able to deliver up to 40 times magnification.  The camera system promises to deliver decent photography at a mid-range price (no, you cannot convince me that $649 is entry-level).

At just 8.2mm thick, the A98 5G is available in Dreamy Blue and Cool Black with both colours featuring the OPPO Glow process to deliver a shimmering crystal effect and fingerprint-resistant finish.

Pricing & Availability

The OPPO A98 5G, RRP $649, is available in Dreamy Blue and Cool Black from today at Office Works, JB Hi-Fi and OPPO Australia’s Online Store.
