Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima review – Just put the milk frother in the fridge!

Many Aussies all around the country drink coffee on a regular basis and a a study from YouGov showed that 91% of coffee drinkers have milk in their ‘Go-To’. Nespresso has recently launched some brand new coffee machines into their lineup.

The Vertuo Lattissima is one of Nespresso’s most advanced capsule machines, manufactured by Delonghi, the Machine makes all the decisions for you with the ability to give you the perfect coffee every time. The automation and precision that the machine has to provide users with the ideal balance of milk and coffee for their needs.

Out of the box, the setup is pretty simple. Cleaning all the items is a touch bit tedious but once all the parts are together you can install the Nescafe app, pair the machine for software updates and you’re ready to go. The app has no use in day-to-day use, however, with no ability to use the coffee machine from the phone. You can access user manuals, discounts on coffee pods, and customised support if you do choose to connect your phone. Coffee pod in, water tank full, and milk carafe inserted and ready to use.

The coffee machine includes a detachable milk carafe that can be stored in the fridge whilst not in use. The attachment is a highly easy-to-use piece of equipment with a toggle to select Milk, rinse, or take apart the carafe and clean. The machine has 3 settings that involve the milk. Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, or just milk foam. After the machine is done making coffee, the machine will turn on the rinse light indicating you need to rinse it. The rinsing is amazing with the milk carafe has the ability to connect to the water tank and rinse the milk out of the system without the user doing anything other than getting a cup and placing it under the faucet. Obviously, you have to do a proper hand wash every so often, and from what I saw there were a couple of places that didn’t get as good of a rinse as the rest so I did it every week which is generally when it would be empty.

The Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is very easy to use and has a wide variety of options with 6 different cup sizes and 3 different styles to make the coffee, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Black, and extra milk foam and 35 coffee blends from the vert range, everyone can have their ideal cup of coffee.

The convenience of the Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is also on another level with sub 30-20 second heating times you barely have enough time to press the button and grab a cup before its ready to go. The coffee machine also knows what size cup you have and will fill it to a reasonable height which makes it pretty useful and allows you to go and do other things in the under 1 minute time it takes to create the coffee

The biggest plus for the Nespresso Vertuo Lattissima is its multiple variations as well as the easy-to-use milk carafe. The wide variety of pods and the ability to suit everyone’s needs with one coffee machine is very handy. The machine comes in at $749 RRP but at the time of publishing, we have found it for $599 almost everywhere. You can pick one up from JB-Hi-Fi here.
