Anyone who finds their phone needing a bit more protection will want to check out the new Aspera R10, with a ruggedised body, IP68 rating , all-day battery life and dual-SIM 4G for $299.
The rubberised outer body on the R10 means it’s built ‘seriously tough’ says Aspera, with the phone able to take drops and knocks, and adding in an IP68 rating against water and dust, with seals for the USB charge point and the 3.5mm earphone jack.
The phone includes a big 6.5” HD+ resolution display, and is powered by a MediaTek 8768 Octa Core 2.0GHz processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB of on-board storage with microSD card support up to 128GB.
The phone is powered by a 5100mAh battery which will get you through a full day and more, says Aspera, with support for 10W charging.
There’s a 13MP camera on the rear and 8MP selfie camera in a punch hole notch in the display on the front which supports face recognition.
Aspera Mobile MD Allan Robertson said of the R10
“We’ve had great success with our previous rugged smartphones and with the R10 we wanted to release something even more unique in the market but still make it excellent value. We’ve achieved that as with the R10’s specs it is ideal for tradies and workers in transport, farming, mining and agriculture where a mobile device is essential, but it is going to have a tough life. The R10 isn’t just for tradies though, as it is specifically designed to protect against and withstand pressures from the dailies including weather, environment and also most common daily drops, knocks and bumps.”
You can get a hold of the Aspera Mobile R10 smartphone for just 9 from Big W, Retravision, Better Electrical, Mobileciti, selected IGAs and selected BP service stations.
