EFTM BEST AWARDS 2023: BEST SMARTPHONE CAMERA

The EFTM Awards are entirely and utterly subjective. We run the site, we make the calls. But I’ve gotta tell you the topic of Best Smartphone camera really has the most subjectivity of it all.

When Scott put six phones through our most comprehensive test of the year, the results were outstanding for all the big-names.

Images on a website don’t do it justice, just to be clear, but there are hints of shade and light and colour that you can see when you really examine the photos

For us, two came out up top – clearly.

The all-new Pixel 8 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max

There is to be honest a stark difference between the two cameras, and the images they create. I mean, look at the examples above and below here. However, which one is “best” is hard to judge.

For us, this presented a challenge, and the only way to settle it was to award Joint Winners.

So the EFTM BEST Award for BEST SMARTPHONE CAMERA of 2023 goes to both the Pixel 8 pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
