EFTM BEST AWARDS 2023: BEST TV

There’s no questioning our love for a big – big screen, that’s why we awarded a specific gong for BEST BIG SCREEN in 2023, it’s the year of the giant TV. But when push comes to shove, and when people call into the EFTM Podcast and ask about TV I always have to make it clear that while there are plenty of value options, there is only one BEST TV.

This year, we’re looking past the price tag, and in fact putting a confirmation on the price tag by saying that yes, if you invest in an OLED you are getting the best picture quality out there.

There isn’t a single person who disagrees with that.

Now in 2023 there are a few brands doing OLED, but – none of them have the ten years of experience LG Bring to the table.

What I love most about the LG range is that it is a “range” – a few different options based on the thing you choose to do with the TV or where the TV will go.

For example, the LG G3 series OLED TV is – in my view – designed to be wall mounted.

Traditionally OLED TVs are as thin as a two dollar coin for the top half of the screen, but then carry some bulk in the lower half. What LG did with the G-series was spread that “guts” out and make the whole thing a uniform depth, or thickness, which – makes it look amazing when wall-mounted.

This design, plus the advances in the OLED evo panel which is still ahead of the rest, make the LG OLED evo G3 our pick for EFTM BEST Award BEST TV in 2023.
