LG unveils new ultra-portable gram and gram Pro laptop range for 2024

Ahead of CES, LG have unveiled their new range of ultra-portable gram series laptops for 2024, including the new LG gram Pro range, offering a wider selection of choices.

The 2024 gram laptop range includes the LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1 with high-resolution 16” and 17” displays, as well as a full range of LG gram series laptops with 14” to 17” displays.

YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company, said of the new range

The LG gram Pro series introduces an exciting, new product range combining ultra-slim design with powerful performance. We will continue to expand the LG gram series, providing  portable, high-spec devices that deliver a premium user experience.

The LG gram 2024 range builds on LG’s interconnected device model, with the LG Link app for Android and iOS device, which offers features including file sharing, photo transfers and screen mirroring between LG gram laptops and your mobile device. The app also includes AI functions to intelligently categorise photos stored on the laptop and make image searches easier.

LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1

The new LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1 offer a wider selection of hardware choices for consumers than previously. In 2024, LG are bringing Intel Core Ultra processors, with Intel AI Boost, Intel’s neural processing unit (NPU) and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card to the LG gram Pro range. The new LG gram Pro 2-in-1 will also use Intel Core Ultra Processors, though with Intel ARC graphics.

Despite their thin profile, the new LG gram Pro range includes a dual fan cooling system, to help keep the laptop cool under load.

The LG gram pro will come in 16” (16Z90SP) and 17” (17Z90SP) screen sizes, while the LG gram Pro 2-in-1 will be available with a 16” display, with 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space.

LG will be offering the 16” models with a choice of either a WQXGA+ (2,880 x 1,800) resolution OLED panel with support up to 120Hz or with an LCD panel with WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) resolution at up to 144Hz refresh rate.   The 17” LG gram Pro will include a 17” WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) IPS LCD display.

The new LG gram pro includes a good range of connectivity options for on the go, including Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, USB Type-A and HDMI ports.

For fans of the ultra-light LG gram range, there’s new models coming in 14” (14Z90S), 15” (15Z90S), 16” (16Z90S) and 17” (17Z90S) display options.

The new 2024 model LG gram laptops will include ultra-lightweight designs, a thin profile and long-lasting battery life, perfect for people on the go, with Intel Core Ultra processors, ARC graphics, NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSDs and high-brightness IPS panels with anti-glare coating.

The LG gram 17 and gram 16 models come with WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) resolution displays, while the smaller 15”  and 14” models include FHD (15.6” 1,920 x

1,080) and WUXGA (14” 1,920 x 1,200) resolutions.

The range will include options for up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, as well as up to 2TB of on-board storage. There’s also plenty of connectivity, with USB Type-A, as well as Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) and HDMI ports.
