There’s a new wireless Android Auto dongle coming, with the AAWireless 2 set to launch later this year – and it’s bringing Apple CarPlay support with it.
We checked out the AA Wireless dongle only a couple of years ago and it was a super convenient option to get rid of cables. The new AAWireless2 updates the original dongle with a more compact design and adds in a button that allows users to enter pairing mode, or switch easily between phones.
The big news for a lot of people though is that the AAWireless 2 dongle will also arrive with Apple CarPlay support. Owners of the original AAWireless dongle are currently beta-testing the functionality, with a full rollout expected once the beta completes.
AAWireless CEO Emil Borconi-Szedressy said,
“Our focus is to make wireless Android Auto available in as many countries as possible. While there are so many Android Auto users worldwide, most of them don’t know about this technology yet.”
The AAWireless 2 dongle will launch later this year around Q3, and unfortunately no pricing has been announced. You can sign up for notifications for the AAWireless 2 on their website.
Daniel has been talking about, learning about and using tech since he was able to toggle switches and push buttons. If it flashes, turns on or off or connects he wants to use it, talk about it and learn more about it. Like this article? Buy me a coffee!
