Chris Harris bringing 1,000 collector and classic cars together at Rosehill in Sydney this Sunday!

If you love cars, or perhaps more importantly if you own a great car then set your alarm and get ready for an early Coffee Run this Sunday morning as over 1,000 spectacular vehicles head to Rosehill Gardens Racecourse for a morning of jaw dropping jealousy and awe thanks to one of the most popular car nuts in the world – Chris Harris.

Almost a decade ago I was watching Chris Harris on Cars – well produced and entertaining YouTube videos looking at some awesome cars.

Years later, he became the new face of Top Gear UK until that ended more recently, and today, he’s just as passionate as ever about cars, but it’s about disrupting the car-sales arena. Classic cars at auction online, a site called Collecting Cars which is aimed at the seller and buyer, not the site itself.

In 2023 the site saw Record sales in Australia, generating sales of more than $40 million in collectible motorbikes and cars.

That included a 2020 Ferrari 488 pista, and a 2017 LP740-4 S.

To build a community around cars, the team at Collecting Cars hold “Coffee Run” events in the UK and this week are bringing that concept to Australia.

Among the cars registered to attend are a Porsche 918 Spyder, Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and a Porsche Type-997 911 GT3 RS 4.0.

Collecting Cars’ Edward Lovett (R) and TV presenter Chris Harris (L)

Chris Harris will be there to take it all in. He told EFTM “One of the best parts of Australian and New Zealand car culture is their variety of machinery. It’s so vibrant. JDM specials, European exotica, local muscle cars; it’s all there. Everyone is invited so make sure you come along.”

If you’ve got a spectacular car, register now to bring it along, if you love cars, head down to Rosehill Gardens at 8am this Sunday! Entry is free.
