Google’s Pixel 9 line is rumoured to be getting a shake up this year with a third model shown off in renders in a new leak this morning.
Courtesy of 91Mobiles, the new Pixel 9 line will, like previous years consist of a Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro, however Google is now also expected to launch a Pixel 9 Pro XL. The leak follows previous images of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, with today’s image showing the smaller Pixel 9.
The three phones will include different screen sizes, with the Pixel 9 set to include a 6.03″ display, the Pixel 9 Pro will include a 6.1″ display, while the Pixel 9 Pro will include a 6.5″ display.
The design language for all three phones will match with the familiar camera bar making a return on the rear and a new flat edge design across all three models.
Camera details haven’t been included in the leak, however we expect to see a similar rear camera array as previous Pixel phones with a high resolution main sensor and secondary ultra-wide sensor. Typically the telephoto sensor has been saved for the ‘Pro’ Pixel models, with no indication that Google intends to change that this year.
The only other real piece of news from the leak is that we’ll be seeing Qi2 wireless charging included in the Pixel 9 series, a bonus for anyone wanting to charge faster, or take advantage of the many magnetic charging mounts available.
Google is set to announce the new Pixel 9 series around October, so we’ll be sure to see more leaks and rumours appear in the lead up to the announcement.
