Roborock announces their new flagship robot vacuum, the S8 MaxV Ultra

Roborock has launched into Australia their most advanced robot vacuum, the S8 MaxV Ultra, offering a one-stop cleaning solution for your home.

The S8 MaxV Ultra includes a robot arm and an extra mop to allow it to clean harder-to-reach places more effectively, especially in corners. It comes complete with the enhanced RockDock Ultra, Reactive AI 2.0 Obstacle Recognition and a built-in voice assistant.

Other features include:

  • Corner-to-Edge Cleaning — The FlexiArm design automatically extends the side brush with corners and low areas under furniture are detected resulting in greater coverage. The added spinning edge mopping system also mops closer to the edges.
  • “Hello Rocky” Built-in Voice Assistant — Roborock’s own voice assistant will allow you to start your robot’s activities, even without a Wi-Fi connection.
  • Automatic Pet and Pet Supply Recognition — A button within the Roborock app sends your A8 MaxV Ultra around your home to help find your pet and will actually move out of the way of your pets while cleaning, stopping its brush to not scare your pet. It will also recognise pet supplies and clean more extensively around them.
  • Dual rollers and mopping — with 10,000Pa of suction power, the DuoRoller Riser Brush and VibraRise 3.0 mopping system the S8 MaxV Ultra will clean like never before.
  • Smart navigation — With the Reactive AI 2.0 Obstacle Recognition and Avoidance System the vacuum will identify and avoid obstacles precisely while also recognising different dirt types to adapt the depth of clean. The PreciSense LiDAR Navigation System allows for smart and precise navigation of your house as well.
  • The RoboDock Ultra — includes auto-emptying, refilling and dock self cleaning along with 60 degree hot water mop washing and air drying and auto detergent dispenser means it is possibly the most advanced and complete dock ever seen for a robot vacuum.
  • Matter support — with support for the smart home protocol, Matter, you can easily hook the S8 MaxV Ultra up to your smart home network.

“Customer preferences are shifting towards products that are capable, intelligent, and can easily integrate with their smart home,” says Richard Chang, Founder & CEO of Roborock. “Our mission at Roborock is to create companions that will make everyday tasks simpler and more enjoyable through technology. The S8 MaxV Ultra is the embodiment of that mission, combining smart technology with powerful cleaning to create a device that’s more than a vacuum—it’s a smart home companion that’s adaptable, efficient, and remarkably intuitive to use.”

The new Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra will be unveiled on April 29 where EFTM will be getting hands on with Roborock’s flagship model so stay tuned for our thoughts on that.
