ACER announce their first Copilot Plus PC, the Swift 14 AI

The new AI focused Copilot+ series PCs are coming after Microsoft announced them overnight, with ACER showing off their first Copilot+ PC, the Swift 14 AI Laptop.

The Swift 14 AI Laptop will come in a thin and light body with an aluminium chassis housing a 14.5-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and support for 100% sRGB colour gamut.

Like the rest of the CoPilot+ PCs announced, the Acer Swift 14 AI is powered by the newly announced Snapdragon X Series platform, with option of either a Snapdragon X Elite or Snapdragon X Plus processor.

Both processors include the Qualcomm Hexagon Neural Processing Unit (NPU) AI Engine capable of up to 45 Trillion Operations Per Second (TOPS) offering on-device AI processing and the Qualcomm Adreno GPU.

The Swift AI 14 will be available in configurations with up to 32 GB LPDDR5X-8533 memory, and up to a 1 TB NVMe PCIe Gen 4 SSD, with a 75WHr battery offering up to 18 hours web browsing and 26 hours video playback.

Amongst the AI features being offered will of course be generative AI with support for visual or written prompts, as well as Auto Super Resolution which will automatically upscale graphics resolution and frame refresh rates of games in real-time to offer a better experience, and Recall, a tool to easily find apps, documents, or messages you’ve previously used, simply by asking the AI.

The AI also helps with video conferencing, supporting the 1440p QHD IR webcam which includes a triple microphone array and privacy shutter.

To help access the AI Companion, and all these features on the Acer Swift 14 AI you’ll be able to click on the Copilot Key.

Pricing and Availability

The good news is that the Acer Swift 14 AI (SF14-11) will be available in Australia from late July, starting at AUD 2,199. You can check it out on the Acer Australia website.
