After announcing a new PC generation, a new PC architecture and at the same time their latest generation Microsoft Surface Products, these powerful AI led machines now have Australian pricing, with the starting point being $1,899.
Surface Pro (Tablet) and Surface Laptop Copilot+ PCs start at $1,899 and if you go full on with your upgrades and specifications could set you back $3,699 (With 32 GB RAM, 15 inch variant laptop and a 1TB hard drive).
Interestingly, This is is $100 more than Apple’s MacBook Air M3, but I’d suggest Microsoft would argue the 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of the NPU is the reason for that – Apple’s M3 Processor, from what we can tell, is capable of 18 TOPS – the new measure of AI capability, efficiency and speed.
Surface Laptop comes in 13.8 inch or 15 inch models, while the Surface Pro 2-in-1 Tablet has a 13 inch screen.
Surface Pro is available to option with an OLED screen for an extra $800 and peaks at $3,599 when fully specced up.
With these now on pre-order, plus a range of laptops also announced by various brands like HP, Acer and Lenovo – it’s going to be a big few months for the PC world.
