Images and details of Google Pixel Watch 3 leaks in two different sizes

The Google Pixel Watch 3 is expected to be announced alongside the Pixel 9 series later this year. We’ve already seen leaks on three Pixel 9 phones, now leaks have appeared for the Pixel Watch 3 showing that Google will release the watch in two sizes this year.

Well known leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known by his @onleaks account has leaked renders of the Pixel Watch 3, and Pixel Watch 3 XL via 91Mobiles and Android Headlines respectively over the last couple of days, offering some details on specs and dimensions of the two watches.

Pixel Watch 3

The Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 3 XL will both follow the same design language as previous generations, with the rounded river pebble look.

The Pixel Watch 3 will be slightly thicker than the Pixel Watch 2. The additional space will allow Google to bump the battery to 307mAh, a jump from 304mAh in the previous model.

At this stage, the leak only mentions black, but we’ve seen at least a trio of body colours for previous Pixel Watch models, so we hope to see similar options along with more interchangeable band options.

The Pixel Watch 3 will retain the same 1.2-inch display as the Pixel Watch 2, and measure 40.79 x 40.73 x 14mm in comparison to the Pixel Watch 2 which measured 41 x 41 x 12.3mm.

Pixel Watch 3 XL

For the first time, Google will be offering a different size Pixel Watch, giving a choice to those that prefer a larger, more chunky watch option.

The Pixel Watch 3 will offer a larger 1.45mm display in a 45mm casing, which will measure 45mm x 45mm x 13.89mm. The new casing should mean a jump in battery as well, though there’s no details on that at the moment.

The leak shows the Pixel Watch 3 XL in what is assumed to be a porcelain colourway with a leather band.

On the band front, the larger casing will mean it’s not compatible with previous bands, nor will they be interchangeable with the Pixel Watch 3.

There’s no details on pricing, and we’re still waiting on the Made by Google hardware event to be announced – though it’s expected to hit around early October. We’ll have more details then, but as this is Google, we expect more details to leak in the leadup to the announcement.
