Paris Olympic Schedule: Aussies in Action Saturday July 27

I don’t have a favourite Olympic Sport, I just love cheering on the Aussies, no matter what sport it is. But working out when they are on and when to tune in is tough!

So each day of the Paris Olympics we’ll try to outline when the Aussies are in action so you can set an alarm.

These games are overnight, so for some events you’re going to be staying up, some you’ll wake up for in the middle of the night, others you’ll get up early for. No matter what, there’s plenty to see!

While the Opening Ceremony will get people up on Saturday morning, the real action starts at night – Saturday July 27 into Sunday morning here’s what you can look forward to in order of when it’s happening:

7pm, Australia plays Spain in the Men’s Basketball

7pm, Anabelle Smith and Maddison Keeney are in the Women’s Synchronised 3m Springboard Diving Final – this is a MEDAL event

7.00pm, Women’s 100m Butterfly:

  • Heat 2, Lane 5: Emma McKeon
  • Heat 3, Lane 6: Alexandria Perkins

7.12pm, Women’s 400m Freestyle:

  • Heat 2, Lane 2: Jamie Perkins
  • Heat 3, Lane 4: Ariarne Titmus

7.30pm, Men’s 100m Breaststroke:

  • Heat 3, Lane 1: Josh Yong
  • Heat 3, Lane 3: Sam Williamson

7.45pm, Men’s 400m Freestyle:

  • Heat 4, Lane 4: Sam Short
  • Heat 5, Lane 5: Elijah Winnington

8.15pm, Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay, Heat 2 – Lane 4.

8.26pm, Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay, Heat 2 – Lane 4.

9.15pm, Hockey – Australia v Argentina

10.30pm, Road Cycling – Grace Brown in the Women’s Individual Time Trial – MEDAL event

11.50pm, Canoe Slalom – Jessica Fox in the Women’s Kayak Single Heats (1st Run)

Sunday Morning

2.00am, Canoe Slalom – Jessica Fox in the Women’s Kayak Single Heats (2nd Run)

4.05am, Women’s Water Polo – Australia v China

4.30am, Swimming Finals kick off – set an alarm!

4.30am, Emma McKeon and Alexandria Perkins (pending qualification) in the Women’s 100m Butterfly Semi Finals

4.32am, Elijah Winnington and Sam Short (pending qualification) in the Men’s 400m Freestyle Final – MEDAL Event

4.55am, Ariarne Titmus and Jamie Perkins (pending qualification) in the Women’s 400m Freestyle Final – MEDAL Event

5.15am, Sam Williamson and Josh Young (pending qualification) in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke Semi Finals

5.37am, Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay Final (pending qualification)MEDAL Event

5.50am, Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay Final (pending qualification) MEDAL Event
