Australia has a new cheapest electric car: MG ZS EV dips to $34,990 drive-away

The price of a new electric car has dipped to $34,990 drive-away in Australia after the cost of the MG ZS EV was slashed as the model approaches runout.

The MG ZS EV had previously been listed at $39,990 drive-away and is now the cheapest it has even been in Australia – undercutting its main rivals, fellow Chinese brands BYD and GWM Haval.

The new discounted MG ZS EV price of $34,990 drive-away limbos under other electric cars such as:

  • GWM Ora $35,990 drive-away
  • BYD Dolphin $39,241 drive-away (NSW, other states vary)
  • MG4 EV $39,990 drive-away
  • Nissan Leaf: $39,990 drive-away
  • BYD Atto3 $47,078 drive-away (NSW, other states vary)
  • Nissan Leaf $39,990 drive-away
