Elon takes on YouTube – launching “X TV” on Google TV and Amazon Fire TV

We all know Elon want’s to dominate the world (and other world’s), and that keeps going at pace with the launch of his X TV app on several Smart TV platforms.

“X TV” is Twitter video on your big-screen TV.

Of course, Twitter is now called X, so this is part of Elon’s one app for everything play? Not sure.

Screenshots sent by EFTM reader Ahmad show a similar interface to YouTube, with Search and Home the key tabs.

The App Store listings for X TV show them promoting “Exclusive content” and “Follow your Favourites”

As well as “Live events and news” – one of the core remaining benefits of the platform

We’re yet to test it fully – but have concerns the platforms lack of ANY form of filter for adult content and brutal images and videos would fit within the “12+” rating X has given the app.

If you’re using Google TV or Amazon Fire TV – find it now in the App stores.
