Garmin unveils the new fēnix 8 Series of premium multisport GPS smartwatches

Garmin has today announced their new fēnix 8 Series of premium multisport GPS smartwatches, now with either a bright AMOLED display or solar charging display for even greater battery life.

The fēnix 8 Series smartwatches are designed with premium materials and design to match their premium features.  The features include:

  • AMOLED or solar display.  The solar display has an always-on display with the 51mm watch giving 50% more solar power than its predecessor.
  • Rugger design with leakproof metal buttons, a sensor guard to protect essential sensors and it has been tested to US Military standards for thermal, shock and water resistance.  There is also an optional scratch-resistant sapphire lens for the harshest of conditions.
  • Built-in speaker and microphone to be able to make and take calls from your wrist when paired with your smartphone.

  • Built-in LED flashlight with variable intensities, a red light and a strobe light for greater awareness.
  • Advanced strength training to elevate performance through the included strength training plans to meet personal goals
  • Dive capabilities thanks to a 40-metre dive-rated case, the leakproof metal buttons and support for scuba and apnoea dive activities.
  • Advanced mapping and navigation with the ability to view terrain contours on TopoActive maps and access preloaded maps for thousands of golf courses and ski resorts around the world.
  • Support for wireless payment through the Garmin Pay service.

The fēnix 8 Series smartwatches from Garmin offer help for athletes of all sports to push beyond their limits including GPS-based pace guidance, dozens of pre-loaded sports including team sports such as soccer, football and more, strength, yoga and HIIT training, snowboarding, skiing, surfing, mountain biking and more.

The watches are able to monitor your health 24/7 with measurements such as Pulse Ox, Body Battery energy monitoring, jet lag adviser, advanced sleep monitoring, nap detection and more.   

The fēnix 8 Series offers a bright AMOLED display or solar charging for even greater battery life. The AMOLED option is available in three sizes – 43mm, 47mm and 51mm – while the solar charging option is available in 47mm or 51mm. Recommended Retail Prices start at
