OPPO Australia has today launched the OPPO A80, an entry-level smartphone priced at just RRP $360AU.
The OPPO A80 incorporates OPPO’s AI technology which includes a system-level AI model termed AI LinkBoost, to ensure you get stable mobile connectivity in any location. Other AI features include AI Eraser which allows you to identify and remove unwanted people or objects from images and fill in the gaps to create a “flawless shot.”
“This year, OPPO will equip more than 50 million users’ phones with generative AI technology globally. Accelerating the adoption of AI phones, we are introducing generative AI technology to the A series for the first time,” said Michael Tran, Managing Director of OPPO Australia. “We are excited to bring this innovative AI technology to Australian users through our new A80 handset, making advanced technology accessible.”
The A80 is protected from drops and falls thanks to a new reinforced internal structure and Panda Glass for the screen cover. OPPO has also developed the “Anti-Drop Shield Case” for the A80 to protect it even more — sold separately.
At just 7.68mm thin it has a stylish design with a glossy middle frame and an angular rectangular camera on the back. The A80 comes in a Moonlight Purple and a Starry Black to add to the stylish look of the phone.
The display is a large 6.67-inch, 120Hz Ultra Bright Display with a typical brightness of 850 nits making it great for gaming and movies.
It is designed to have a long-lasting battery with the 5,100mAh battery charged using OPPO’s 45W SUPERVOOC flash charging which can charge the battery from empty to full in just 74 minutes.
The rear camera is a 50MP AI dual camera setup offering decent photography at an incredibly affordable price.
The OPPO A80 is available now in Starry Black and Moonlight Purple for 9 at JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks, Big W, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and the OPPO Australia Online Store.
