Race of Champions comes to Sydney’s Accor Stadium March 2025!

Get ready for a stadium motorsport spectacular at Sydney’s Olympic Stadium in March next year – the epic Race of Champions is coming down under to put on a show with Aussie Jamie Whincup the first big-name driver announcement.

It’s a stadium show that reminds me of the mid-90’s Langley Park special Stage of the World Rally Championship in Perth – just a single view of great drivers doing tight turns against the clock.

Action

The pedigree of drivers who have done the Race of Champions is unparalleled, with names like David Coulthard, Sebastian Vettel event Michael Schumacher.

They’ll build a special track inside Accor Stadium, and there’ll be a Nations Cup on Friday 7th March, and then a individual driverrs title contested on Saturday March 8th.

Race Of Champions President and Co-Founder: Fredrik Johnsson “We are incredibly excited to bring the Race Of Champions to Australia for the first time ever. ROC has always been about pushing drivers to their limits in unique conditions.

“Australia has a rich motorsport heritage, and we’re looking forward to celebrating that by pitting some of the best Australian drivers against some of the world’s most legendary racing stars in a spectacular showdown in the middle of Accor Stadium.”

Jamie Whincup seems pretty keen, saying “I had a great time competing at the Race Of Champions World Finals in Bangkok and Barbados. I’m thrilled to be part of the ROC driver line up again in 2025, especially with the event being hosted in Sydney, said 7-time V8 Supercars Champion Jamie Whincup. Competing alongside some of the best drivers in the world from so many different racing series is always an incredible challenge and representing Australian motorsport on home soil now that ROC comes to Australia for the first time makes it even more special. I can’t wait to get out there and give it everything for the Aussie fans.”

Great news is that General Admission tickets start at $49 for kids $69 for Adults and they go on sale Wednesday 16th October.
