Audio legends RØDE have announced a brand new product aimed fair and square at the TikTok and Insta creator generation, the Wireless Micro.
This tiny solution for high quality audio takes the knowledge from years of awesome audio gear and combines it with the smarts of the Wireless Go range. The difference is simple – it’s tiny, and it plugs direct into your smartphone.
In USB-C or Lightning form and available in White and Black this will be the thing you see clipped to the shirts of creators around the world in no time.
This is the smallest and as RØDE say the simplest wireless microphone they’ve made to date.
It’s far smaller than their existing wireless range, and is also dramatically smaller than DJI’s Mic series.
A splash-proof design means you can wear it in a bit of rain too.
The charging case allows for a total of 21 hours battery life, and critically, the unit comes with two transmitters (Microphones) for the single receiver.
Despite RØDE being an Aussie company, headquartered in Sydney and with their products made in Australia, EFTM was unable to obtain AUD pricing for the Wireless Micro. Instead we were told “It is our practice to only provide our minimum advertised price in USD due to regional pricing differences affected by in-built taxes in certain regions.“
When Apple, Samsung, HP and anyone else in the world release a product around the world, they issue RRP for every region. Staggering that this isn’t possible – but who knows.
Because I’m passionate about having prices here, I checked and found it on one store for $239.95. So there you have it!
