Dreame Technology announce the X50 Ultra robot vacuum that can climb stairs, as long as those stairs are under 6cm high

Dreame Technology is a consumer electronics company not many Australians may have heard of.  Late last year they ventured into the Australian market with their own robot vacuums.  This year, they are looking to make a big splash with a new innovative product announced at CES 2025 this week.

The most talked-about product from Dreame this year is the X50 Ultra robot vacuum, which Dreame claim “climbs stairs.”  There is of course a limit to the size of these stairs but the obstacle crossing height of 6cm is an innovative step in the right direction.

The X50 Ultra is able to ‘climb’ these heights thanks to its world-first robotic retractable legs but it is not all legs.  It also includes features such as:

  • Versalift
  • Dual Flex Arm Technology for cleaning in tight corners
  • HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush to minimise tangles
  • Adaptive intelligent PowerDock
  • AI object recognition and avoidance
  • 20,000Pa of suction

For more information head on over to the Dreame X50 Ultra website.

It is unclear when the Dreame X50 Ultra robot vacuum will be available in Australia, but you can be sure that its presence in any market will help push the stair climbing technology to new levels.
