Personal safety alarms are a great way to achieve some peace of mind, and the new Swann ActiveResponse Personal Safety Alarm adds on to this with GPS location, SMS a powerful siren, and more.
Priced at $39.95, the ActiveResponse Personal Safety Alarm is compact, measuring a discreet 60mm tall and only 15mm in diameter and can easily be carried on your person on a keyring, on a pocket or just attached to a bag for easy access. It comes in either aqua or black – and includes an accessory to easily attach it to your keys, bag and more, as well as a lanyard so you can even wear it.
It’s smart, pairing with your phone with Bluetooth through the Swann Security app – available for iOS and Android – which will let you set your emergency contacts, change settings and more. When activated, the ActiveResponse it will send an SMS including your GPS location to an emergency contact, as well as triggering a 120-decible siren that will draw attention or create a diversion – so it’s great for if you’re lost or in distress.
There’s a twist-lock motion required to activate the ActiveResponse, which protects against accidents, but is easy enough to activate when needed.
The unit is powered by a CR2 battery which lasts up to 6-months, and is easily found in your local supermarket for replacement.
