Today, Canon has taken the wraps off two new cameras and a lens kit designed and built specifically with content creators in mind. The two new cameras are the pocketable PowerShot V1, the advanced filmmaker EOS R50 V and the lens kit is a versatile RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ and is Canon’s first RF lens with internal power zoom.
All new products are built with content creators of all type in mind, from bloggers to livestreamers to social media influencers, offering high quality video footage in compact designs.
The new Canon PowerShot V1 is an incredibly compact 4K camera that fits easily in your pocket and includes an integrated ultra-wide lens for easy selfies and a large sensor for “natural subject separation.” The PowerShot V1 offers advanced digital stabilisation, perfect for those vlogging on the go. the built-in microphone with noise reduction delivers crystal clear audio but you can also attach an external microphone for enhanced audio quality.
It is a camera designed for all types of creators. It balances power and simplicity in a lightweight (429 grams) device that fits in your pocket.
The Canon EOS R50 V offers impressive film making abilities thanks to its interchangeable lenses, giving creators greater control over the look of their footage. It is capable of 4K video with 6K oversampling and pro-level audio control for creators to take their content to new levels.
The interchangeable lens allows the creator to use a lens that suits the style of video they are trying to shoot. The end result is high-quality footage with crystal clear audio.
The EOS R50 V is compatible with Canon’s Live Switcher Mobile app, giving you multi-camera streaming with custom layouts and direct streaming to YouTube or Facebook. It supports fast content transfers to smartphones and computers with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB support.
