EXCLUSIVE VIDEO – iPhone 17 Air leaked, dimensions of iPhone 17 range revealed

It’s hardly a secret at this point, the internet is filled with rumours about the iPhone 17 range, as well as images of metal dummies showing the models to expect in 2025, including the much anticipated “Air”. But EFTM can reveal in video form those very dummies and some of the specifications of the iPhone 17 Range.

What you might have read so far is spot on, but any videos you’ve seen have simply been YouTubers talking to the images, this is our video of the actual dummies in my hands.

Critically, I can compare for you the current iPhone 16 Plus (Pink) to the iPhone 17 Air dummy model which demonstrates just how thin it is:

This iPhone 17 Air, if these dummies are to be believed is just 5.65mm thick. That’s the thinnest iPhone ever, and by a margin of around 0.20 is thinner still than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge which is due for release soon.

Interestingly, all three of the other models appear thicker than the 2024 models.

iPhone 17 appears to be 7.96mm thick, compared to iPhone 16’s 7.80.

iPhone 17 Pro appears to be 8.75mm compared to 8.25 last year, with the iPhone 17 Pro Max coming in at the same 8.75 measurement with a 0.50mm thickness increase.

Width of each phone is the same, though the iPhone 17 is 2mm taller than iPhone 16.

Strange as it is to say, the iPhone 17 Air – if that’s what it is, and if it’s real – feels great in the hand. I could see myself using it.

HOWEVER, iPhone 17 Air appears to have a single lens camera, missing out on 0.5 ultra-wide or any telephoto zoom is a dealbreaker for some, but perhaps the thin profile will appeal to some, but for me that might be a problem.

The Pro models feature a strangely wide camera island – but no obvious change to the lens layout or style.

At the same time, the thickness of that island has increased, as has the protrusion of the lens, so while the thickness measurements above are the main body of the phone, the maximum thickness of the devices has also gone up.

It’s going to be a very interesting lineup – and of course all of these are unconfirmed leaks, we won’t know for sure until Tim Cook kicks things off at Apple Park in September.
