Epson remains top of the tree and releases 4 new additions to their EcoTank range

Epson have released 4 additions to their very popular multi-function EcoTank product range. The ET-4950, ET-3950, ET-3900 and ET-2950

When I say popular the sales numbers say it all. No doubt the introduction of the EcoTank product category has contributed significantly to them becoming the number one large ink tank printer vendor worldwide

With cumulative sales of over 100 million units it’s hard to argue. In recent years we have seen the transition to ink tanks from the traditional cartridge approach.

We’ve all fallen for the lure of cheap printers with disposable cartridges but have soon discovered that ink tanks such as those offered by Epson represent excellent value

These newest models come complete with up to two years worth of ink (up to 6,600 black and white pages and 5,500 colour) straight out of the box so it’s going to be a while til you need to refill them.

Epson claim their “zero warm up time” and “very fast first page out time” saves you energy, time and money. Now if you’re a heavy user, replacement bottles boasting up to 8,500 pages in black and white and 6,500 pages in colour are available to top up the tanks.

The Epson EcoTank ET- 4950

Epson even equip these top-up bottles with unique nozzles to prevent you from putting the wrong colour in the allocated tank. And for those old schoolers like me, believe it or not you can even fax at 3 seconds per page either from the printer itself or directly from your computer via the included software. Yes that’s right, I said fax (ask your parents what that is)

The new EcoTank models

EcoTank ET-4950 – AUD$729.00, NZ$789.00
EcoTank ET-3950 – AUD$699.00, NZ$759.00
EcoTank ET-3900 – AUD$559.00, NZ$599,00
EcoTank ET-2950 – AUD$499.00, NZ$579.00

The new models come with a standard 1 year warranty plus an extra year upon registration and are available directly at the Epson website or regular electrical retailers
