LG launches Smart Inverter Dehumidifier range in Australia and New Zealand

As the Australian winter hits its peak, and with warmer temperatures on the way, LG Electronics have announced their entry to the dehumidifier market in Australia and New Zealand.

The launch is centred around two models, the 24L (DD12GMWE0) and 26L (DD14GMWE0), both featuring LG’s Smart Inverter Compressor technology – with the 24L capable of processing 24 litres a day, while the 26L processes 26 litres per day.

The smart compressor inside allows for quiet operation, with a Smart+ mode for more intelligent humidity control. The Smart+ mode automatically adjusts the speed of the compressor and fan intensity.

The units are designed for long life, with a 10-year parts warranty on the compressor, with the Smart+ mode aiding this by only working as hard as needed to reach the set humidity level.

While they’re working, the units are ultra quiet, with a Silent Mode running them as low as 31.94dB, or just above a whisper, making them perfect for a bedroom to manage humidity levels.

All these modes are controllable though the LG ThinQ app, which offers the ability to monitor energy consumption, as well as control the dehumidifier remotely – there’s also a removable 5.0L water tank with a clear indicator to check levels,  and an auto shut-off function when full.

The 24L & 26L models are also able to keep their internal fan blates hygienic with the use of LG UVnano technology.

LG says they’re perfect for remotely managing an areas humidity, letting you ‘prepare the living environment for optimised comfort before householders return home’.

Both the humidifiers include a Laundry Mode, as well as a Shoe and Drawer drying kit for more every day uses around the home.

It also comes with a storage compartment for the power cable, and with a hidden handle on top and casters on the bottom, it’s easy to move around your home.

Hun Oh, Product Director of HVAC Solutions at LG Electronics ANZ commented:

At LG, our mission is to empower a better life through smart, intuitive solutions. We’re excited to bring our range of advanced Smart Inverter Dehumidifiers to Australia and New Zealand, designed to redefine home comfort and hygiene.
