Roborock has launched its latest assault on the cordless vacuum market in Australia with the H60 Hub Ultra. This new solution offers a long-lasting battery, a self-emptying dock and powerful suction.
I’ve been using this vacuum for about a week now and have my own thoughts on it, which I’ll share alongside those from Roborock below.
The H60 Hub Ultra delivers 210 AW of suction, which is all well and good as a number, but how well does it perform on its own, and how does it compare to another handheld vacuum? So, of course, the best way to test this out is side by side with another hand-held vacuum – the Roborock H5 vacuum with a mere 158AW of power.
Side by side, you can definitely feel the difference with the turbo mode on the H60 having recognisable suction improvements. I tested the vacuum on the usual breadcrumbs and flour, and even after attempting to rub them deep into the carpet, the H60 had no issues picking it all up quickly and thoroughly.
The battery on the H60 Hub Ultra is designed to deliver up to 90 minutes of vacuuming, although the power that it runs at 90minutes is not listed.
After testing the vacuum over the weekend, I dare say the 90-minute run time is standard power. I found the turbo mode chewed through the battery quickly, but I was able to clean a relatively last shaggy rug in turbo mode easily and only lost around 15% of battery.
The H60 Hub Ultra is designed to be easy to use and manoeuvre, and it is. The build itself is lightweight while at the same time feeling solid. The telescopic wand is made of plastic, keeping the overall build lightweight and easy to use.
There are three different attachments – the standard vacuum head, a motorised mini-brush, and a 2-in-1 crevice tool- that make it easy to get into hard-to-reach places and small corners. A nice addition is storage for these attachments within the dock.
The motorised minibrush offers a deeper clean than the standard head, but it was not all that different – if you want a deep clean, then use it; otherwise, the standard head works fine, albeit on turbo mode.
The standard head has an anti-tangle brush which is meant to have a 0% tangle rate and “a curved shark-tooth design and fibre-rubber roller to actively prevent hair wrap.” I have a couple of dogs who like to leave hair around the place and a couple of hairy rugs, so put this to the test.
As mentioned above, the H60 was tested on a shaggy rug, and when I was finished, not a single hair was tangled in the vacuum’s head.
The standard head on the H60 also includes a 140-degree wide-angle green dust detection light to illuminate dirt and dust within your path. This helps to make sure you don’t miss anything because you can’t see the dirt in dark areas such as under couches, etc.
The green light sounds like a gimmick, but it was extremely handy and was great even on floors where I could see everything, such as a carpet, helping to determine just how much dirt and dust needed to be cleaned.
The dock includes a sealed 3L dust bag, designed to trap 99% of bacteria and able to hold up to 100 days of dirt. The 5-stage filtration system further enhances this hygienic solution in the vacuum itself, which includes a HEPA filter that captures 99.95% of microdust particles and a 9-cyclone separation system to maintain full suction power.
As you would expect, the dock also charges the vacuum as soon as it is docked, so you can be sure it will be ready to go each time you remove it from the dock.
The Roborock H60 Hub Ultra will be available in Australia from 28 August 2025 at RRP $999 through Roborock’s Official Online Store and Participating Online Retailers.
