Apple quietly upped the price of AirPods Max this week – $999! But if you look quick, there’s cheaper prices out there

It’s been a massive week for Apple with the launch of their 2025 range of mobile phones and new Apple Watches and even new AirPods Pro 3. But what Apple doesn’t do is hold a Keynote at their HQ for price rises.

Thanks to one observant EFTM reader we’re aware that the most premium of all the Apple headphones has had a little price bump, well, not little – $100 extra.

AirPods Max were $899 last week, and for many months before that too. But look today on the Apple Website and they’re $999.

A quick check of JB HiFi and the price a week ago vs today is pretty clear:

Strangely at JB the Orange model are still 9 – unpopular much? Strange given it’s the colour of the week after iPhone 17 Pro launch!

Aside from picking a colour like that, it certainly pays to shop around – for now at least.

Over at Amazon, in the Apple store, prices are far cheaper:

And it’s across the whole colour range too:

So hey, pays to shop around folks!
