The appliance news keeps coming from Europes largest consumer electronics show, with Samsung showing off their new Bespoke AI Washer with A-65% energy efficiency and their second-generation Bespoke AI Laundry Combo.
The new Bespoke AI Washer also includes enhanced AI Wash+ for smarter fabric, while the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo features increased capacity, faster cycles and intuitive upgrades like Auto Open Door+ as well as a new interface.
The latest Bespoke AI Washer builds on the A-55% Bespoke AI Washer launched at IFA 2024. This new model ups the ante, consuming 65% less energy than the minimum energy efficiency requirements for a Class A rating in the European market.
Samsung has achieved the higher energy efficiency rating using refined washing algorithms as well as enhanced motor efficiency and improved circulation.
The washer lives up to its AI monniker with the inclusion of AI Wash+4, which will intelligently detect the weight, soiling level and fabric type, automatically adjusting the amount of water and detergent and wash time for optimal results.
Featuring a larger displays than some cars, the 7” touch display brings seamless integration with Samsung’s SmartThings eco-system as well as making the washer easy to use.
If you like the Samsung Bespoke Washer, Samsung is also introducing a matching dryer which also features fabric detection, using their AI Dry+ to also detect moisture level to optimise drying time.
Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team, Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics said
“With the new A-65% washer, Samsung has pushed the boundaries of convenience and energy efficiency once again. With AI-driven features like the new AI Wash+, innovative hardware upgrades, and a wider choice of design options, we aim to deliver personalised experiences that reduce effort and maximise satisfaction.”
Samsung is also updating their AI Laundry Combo at IFA 2025, bringing this second-generation to a global market after a successful Korean launch earlier this year.
This new model has the same external dimensions as the original, while offering an increase of up to 3kg in drying capacity, thanks to a more densely arranged heat exchanger fin layout offering improved heat transfer to dry, as well as improved pre-heating.
The second-generation AI Laundry Combo also introduces new practical upgrade, including the ability to detect both denim and outdoor wear using the on-board AI Wash and Dry mode.
The washer/dryer will also automatically open the door when a wash or dry cycle completes, helping to reduce moisture and odours.
Samsung says the new model includes optimised cycles, including a 79-minute Super Speed cycle, a 49-minute single garment cycle, and a 39-minute shirt cycle – all ready to get your laundry done faster so you can get on with your day.
There’s also a 7” touch display, which features a new Dial Theme interface giving you fast access to six frequently used cycles in an intuitive, circular layout.
Samsung Australia has not yet announced availability of the new Bespoke AI Washer and matching dryer, nor the second generation AI Laundry Combo.
