LG is launching a new AI-focused SIGNATURE range of appliances at CES

At CES in January, LG has announced they will be expanding their premium SIGNATURE range of kitchen appliances, offering new designs as well as AI-driven features and generative AI functions.

The new LG SIGNATURE lineup includes both the new LG SIGNATURE refrigerator, and the the LG SIGNATURE Oven Range, which retains the refined minimal design that the LG SIGNATURE range is known for, bringing sleek horizontal lines and iconic gold accents.

Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company said of the upcoming range

“LG SIGNATURE brings design, performance and experience together in tune, redefining the future of luxury in the home and setting a new standard for premium appliances. Marking its 10th anniversary, the expanded LG SIGNATURE lineup continues to lead the global market for customers seeking a more expressive, elevated lifestyle.

The centrepiece is the LG SIGNATURE Refrigerator, which will include a 6.8-inch LCD display giving you access to the on-board AI – or just neat visuals when not in use.

The AI supports natural language based interactions, as well as maintaining the fridge functions, including supporting optimal freshness including monitoring usage patterns to even anticipate when you’ll open the door – so it can pre-cool the interior to maintain freshness.

LG’s ThinQ app will use an internal camera to identify food inside your refrigerator, suggesting meals based on what you have on-hand.

To complement your new fridge, the SIGNATURE Oven range features even more AI, with a camera inside the oven able to identify more than 85 dishes and automatically select the ideal cooking settings.

The on-board AI can do things like monitor bread as it bakes, sending you alerts in the ThinQ app when it’s ready – or letting you check-in on it through the camera while cooking, or review it in a time-lapse if you want to share it – or see what went wrong.

In terms of styling, LG will introduce three new collections for their SIGNATURE range: Seamless, Iconic and Tailored, giving customers the option to choose the design that fits their personal style.

The new range will also include a collaboration with Italian high-end furniture brand Poliform. This partnership will showcase how LG’s SIGNATURE range will appear in more luxury interiors to showcase higher-end living.

We’ll be seeing more on the new LG SIGNATURE range during CES when it kicks off on the 6th of January.
