LEGO’s newly announced Smart Play system is set to hit our shores on March 1st, with three big new Star Wars sets that will bring interactive play without the screens.
The Smart Play platform uses tech-infused Smart Bricks, Smart Minifigures and Smart Tags to bring your sets to life with lights, sounds and more – and Star Wars is a great place to start.
The first three All-in-One Smart Play sets all include at least a Smart Brick with a charger, as well as at least one Smart Minifigure and a Smart Tag so you can bask in the full experience.
The sets start at $99.99 for the 473-piece Darth Vader TIE Fighter set which includes a Darth Vader Smart Minifigure as well as a bonus Rebel Fleet Trooper which will show off the sounds, with the Smart Brick able to emulate effects like the distinct roar of the Twin Ion Engines (TIE).
Star Wars fans will also love Luke’s Red Five X-Wing priced at $149.99, which will include an imperial turret as well as the X-Wing, with laser and engine sounds, and more set to go using the Leia and Luke Smart Minifigures included in the box.
Lastly, we have the big one. Featuring Luke, the Emperor and Vader Smart Minifigures, the Throne Room Duel & A-Wing building set will feature a load of iconic sounds including the Imperial March, for the bargain price of 9.99.
All three sets will be available to pre-order on January 9th, and on-sale from March 1st through www.LEGO.com, LEGO Stores and select retailers.
