Apple device users will see more detail and more data in Apple Maps if they are looking around Melbourne as of today, with a range of new custom Grand Prix details ahead of next week’s Australian Grand Prix.
It’s something Apple plans to do throughout the year following the F1 calendar in different cities where the F1 travels to.
There’s a detailed circuit map, turn numbers at each corner, grand stands and even a custom 3D landmark of the F1 pit garages.
For those on the ground in Melbourne, you’ll find Apple Maps helping get you around, with things like Gate Numbers, Road Closures and Public Transport info.
If you want to look ahead to the whole season, Apple Maps has an F1 “Tracks around the World Guide” you can view and read right now too.
Other things to checkout on Apple Maps around the GP circuit are the Sports and Aquatic Centre, the Lakeside stadium and even the start finish line complete with chequered flags.
A bit of fun, but also better navigation for those at the GP this year.
