Dyson’s First Robot Vac-Mop combo uses heated water and AI to find and clean stains

Dyson has become one of the leading names in vacuum technology, so it’s surprising it’s taken this long to release their first combination robot vacuum and mop, the  Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum cleaner which is launching in Australia today.

Unveiled at IFA in Berlin last year, the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum cleaner has been engineered for both wet and dry floor cleaning, and utilises AI to ‘take the guesswork out of cleaning’.

Dyson says the Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum cleaner utilises AI to power object recognition which can recognise up to 200 types of objects including socks, shoes and toys,  combining it with smart navigation, and the self-cleaning wet roller to help find, identify and then clean all those hidden stains.

The robot vacuum even uses a green laser to help illuminate dust and debris to ensure you get it all, and it looks visually clean.

The integrated wet roller uses a three-step cleaning process, and has the ability to extend up to 40mm out to reach every edge. The roller also delivers freshly heated hot water using a  12-point hydration system to help lift those really stubborn stains.

The system is controlled by the MyDyson app, giving you the option to spot clean areas, as well as edit the map of your home, rename rooms and more. It even creates a ‘Clean Map’ to show where any objects it encountered were so you can pick them up and re-clean at your leisure.

Dyson’s base station adopts the cyclonic bagless system that Dyson has mastered, using 10 powerful Dyson root cyclones to help empty debris from the robot to the base for easy cleaning. It stores up to 100 days of debris, letting you skip vacuum bag consumables – win!

James Dyson, Founder of Dyson said

“Dyson engineers have been developing robotic cleaners since the 1990s. We revealed the first DC06 in 2001 and have continued to develop vision technology since then. Now we have engineered a robot that intelligently detects, identifies, and cleans stains, spills and debris, identifying stubborn stains and going over and over them until they are gone, using advanced AI.

It is a determined, intelligent, and adaptable machine! The wet roller even cleans itself with fresh water as it rotates, ensuring your floors remain spotless. It vacuums carpets, washes hard floors and cleans itself hygienically – with the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum, dirt now has nowhere to hide.”

You can get your hands on the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai from today for

,999 AUD. You can check it out now on the Dyson website – or head into a Dyson store.
