It’s Lights out at the Australian Grand Prix – courtesy of Hot Wheels

As fans travel from far and wide to witness the spectacle that is the Melbourne Formula One Grand Prix it’s not just the fast cars attracting the fans. Trackside activities such as the Hot Wheels Lights Out experience are set to capture the attention of racegoers as they enjoy the activities that accompany the main event.

Hot Wheels are creating a unique display in the heart of the action in the Fan Zone on Motorsport Straight where punters are encouraged to test their reaction times when the lights go out. Test your skills as you launch your car in their reaction-based racing experience just like the real F1 drivers, albeit at a 1/64 scale.

As a souvenir of the day participants will be issued with their own lanyard featuring their name and reaction time, something you may consider going straight to the pool room.

Of course there will also be an opportunity to explore and purchase collectibles and merchandise so if you are going along to the track on any of the 4 days, put the Hot Wheels Light’s Out challenge on the list of activities to do. Bring your mates. There are certainly bragging rights up for grabs.
