DJI has unveiled its latest iteration of the Osmo camera, the Osmo Pocket 4, featuring a 1-inch CMOS sensor, intelligent tracking capabilities and a three-axis stabilisation gimbal.
The Osmo Pocket 4 features a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a f/2.0 aperture to deliver clear images in low light. It can produce rich, true-to-life colours with 14 stops of dynamic range and a 10-bit D-Log colour profile.
The dedicated zoom button allows users to quickly switch between 1x and 2x lossless zoom with a single tap.
The three-axis stabilisation that Osmo devices are known for, and the Pocket 4 improves on this with smoother-than-ever camera movements thanks to multiple gimbal modes. Tracking modes include ActiveTrack 7.0, Spotlight Follow and Dynamic Framing, which keep the subject in focus and stable at all times. Swapping the subject is as simple as tapping on the screen.
The Osmo Pocket 4 features new intuitive controls to rotate the screen and two new buttons, one to zoom and the other a custom preset button which can be mapped to the user’s preference. The 5D joystick allows users to move the camera backwards, recentre the gimbal and flip the camera.
With 107GB of built-in storage, the camera can capture more footage than ever before without the need for a microSD card.
The Osmo Pocket 4 has its own built-in microphone array but is also compatible with DJI Mic transmitters, Mic 2, Mic 3 and Mic Mini.
Osmo Pocket 4 is available for pre-order starting now through store.dji.com/au and authorised retail partners. Shipping and official sale start on Apr 22nd. Pricing and configurations are as follows:
