Amazon has launched a new lineup of Kindle Scribe devices, thinner, faster and smarter than ever and includes a colour version too. All three new Scribes will begin shipping on June 10.
The Scribes are designed to offer a workflow that remains focused on the task, whether it be disconnecting or performing a work-related task without interruptions. As you would expect in 2026, the new Kindle Scribes arrive sporting AI-powered organisation tools.
Jacqui Corbett, Amazon Devices Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand said, “The new Kindle Scribe lineup is designed to support clearer thinking, deeper focus and more intentional productivity, whether that’s journaling, planning your week, reading without interruptions, or capturing ideas as they happen.”
The new range of Scribes from Amazon are ultra-thin at 5.4mm thick, and ultralight (400 grams) and up to 40% faster for writing and turning pages on the even larger 11-inch display.
The glare-free display offers the ability to read, draw or work wherever you are, in whatever lighting conditions you find yourself in. The brighter display offers improved comfort for your eyes with writing on the display now offering a more natural paper-like feel.
The new Kindle Scribe Colorsoft delivers the same display experience but is now in colour, powered by custom Colorsoft display technology and a new rendering engine. The device will still offer weeks of battery life, even while using full colour.
The 2026 Scribes all arrive sporting an AI-powered notebook with new intelligent productivity tools including Quick Notes, Google Drive and OneDrive support and AI-powered search and summaries.
As always, the Kindle Scribe offers not just notebook functionality, but also full access to Amazon’s e-book store.
