Samsung Bespoke AI Laundry Combo Arrives in Australia

After showing off their upcoming Bespoke AI Laundry Combo during CES, Samsung have today announced the combo is now available in Australia.

The one-stop laundry solution combines a 19.5kg smart washer and 10kg heat-pump dryer, offering an ultra-large capacity option for families and eliminating the need to transfer laundry back and forth between machines.

The combo includes an upgraded AI-powered Wash & Dry cycle offering a 68-minute Super Speed full wash-to-dry cycle, letting you save time – and money with the 10 Star Energy Rating Hybrid Heat Pump drying performance.

Phil Gaut, Director – Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia said

At Samsung, we’re focused on developing intelligent home appliances that respond to the real needs of Australian households.

The new Bespoke AI Laundry Combo is designed to help ease household pressures by combining fast wash-to-dry cycles, intelligent energy optimisation, and ultra-large capacity in one connected appliance, helping Australians spend less time on laundry and more time doing what they love.”

The combo will include AI-powered Energy Mode through the Smart Things app, which Samsung says can ‘consume up to 20% less energy during the wash cycle and up to 10% less energy during the dry cycle when compared to using the same cycle without AI Energy Mode’.

To enable the AI Wash and Dry mode, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo includes multiple sensors to optimise performance for each load, detecting weight to determine the right amount of water and detergent for each load. It can also detect five fabric types for smaller loads including ‘Outdoor’ and ‘Denim’ and then monitors them in real-time to check cleanliness and adjust the cycle if necessary on the fly.

The system even automatically opens the door of the Combo when it finishes, letting air in and activating internal air circulation in order to avoid musty odours.

Samsung says the Bespoke AI Combo will feature a more advanced Bixby. The display on the Bespoke AI Combo unit can also monitor and control connected Samsung devices, letting you do things like Turn on the TV in the living room, without needing to go.

BIxby will also let you use voice commands in a conversational tone including letting you start a cycle with qualifiers including “can you wash this before 11pm?” or “start a normal wash, but add an extra rinse”.

The Bespoke AI Combo will also be covered for up to 7 years with software updates, keeping it up to date with the latest security updates and features, including Samsung’s Knox technology to keep it secure.

If you’re in the market for a new laundry, the Samsung Bespoke AI Combo is available now via the Samsung online store and leading retailers nationwide with an RRP ,999
