Amazon’s has today announced a new video doorbell in their affordable Blink line of security cameras and doorbells, as well a new Solar Powered outdoor camera.
The Blink Video Doorbell 2K+ expands the existing 2K+ lineup which launched the Blink Outdoor 2K+ cameras last year.
This latest doorbell brings crisp 2K video, as well as improved dynamic range as well as smart alerts helping you stay connected with what’s happening at your front door. It comes in a choice of Black or White colour options, in a weather-resistant IP65 rated body.
The 2K resolution includes head-to-toe field of view, letting you see not only visitors but packages more completely. The improved dynamic range cancels out bright and low-light areas for a more even image.
The image is also improved at night, with Colour Night Vision under lights, with full IR Black and White in the darkness so you don’t miss a thing.
Powered by three AA Lithium Ion rechargeable batteries which are included in the box, the Blink Video Doorbell 2K+ can last months between recharges, giving you more security without the regular maintenance hassle.
The doorbell will work without a plan letting you view live video, receive alerts, and manage your device through the Blink app. ABlink Subscription Plan will let you get even more from your doorbell.
Under the subscription plan, the Blink Video Doorbell 2K+ includes Smart Detection which can detect the difference between a person or vehicle – and notifying you appropriately. The plan also includes the option to save and share motion clips, as well as live view recordings with unlimited cloud storage for up to 60 days.
Plans start from .95/month for a single device, or .00/month for unlimited devices with Blink Plus.
Also launching today is the new Blink Solaris 2K+, an update to the Blink Outdoor 2K+ which launched last year, and adding in a compact, solar panel.
Available in a bundle, or as an accessory for your existing Blink Outdoor 2K+ cameras, the Blink Solaris 2K+ pairs the Outdoor 2K+ camera with Blink’s smallest solar panel yet. Despite its compact size, Solaris can keep the camera powered with as little as 45 minutes of direct sunlight per day – eliminating the need for battery changes.
The cameras supply video and images with crisp 2K video resolution and include a weather-resistant IP-65 body with a simple snap-on installation,
The Blink Solaris 2K+ is designed to blend effortlessly into any home coming in both Black and White colourways, and include all-year round protection, with Alexa+ letting users see what’s happening around their home with live view, as well as manage their system using just their voice, as well as through the Blink app.
Availability
You can get your hands on the Blink Doorbell 2K+ which is available now in Australia from AU9, while the Solaris accessory starts at AU or AU9 when bundled with an Outdoor 2K+ camera. For full details and availability, visit Amazon.com.au.
