Google will announce the Pixel 11 series and Pixel Watch 5 on August 13

Invites are rolling out now for the next Made by Google event, with media being invited to an event on August 12th.

The event will take place in New York at 6pm ET – that’s around 8am on the 13th of August for those playing at home, with the event expected to be live-streamed on Google’s YouTube channel.

The event will show off the new Pixel 11 Series phones, as well as the Pixel Watch 5.

Pixel 11

It’s expected we’ll see new models of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold – with the new range using Google’s Tensor G6 processor.

The Pixel 11 phones are rumoured to incorporate what Google will call ‘Pixel Glow’, an RGB LED Lighting system that encircles the camera bar offering custom notification lights.

The phones will be seeing a price increase according to a new rumour, with the Pixel 11 starting at €999 (around $1642 AUD) – though with 256GB of on-board storage as the minimum.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold€1,999 ($3286 AUD)€2,129 ($3499 AUD)€2,389 ($3927 AUD)

Pixel Watch 5

For the Pixel Watch 5, we again expect two sizes with 41mm and 45mm options, both running Wear OS 7.

A recent update on the US FCC website showed four devices, believed to be the new Pixel Watch 5, being tested – G25QD, G1XJ6, G0F3Y, and GFW3R – which seem to be the LTE and Wifi models for both watch sizes.

A leak from Twitter suggests that the Pixel Watch 5 will include an IP68 rating with Water Resistance down to 50m, as well as UltraWide Band (UWB), EDA (electrodermal activity) and SPo2 sensor, and sleep tracking.

We’ll find out if all the rumours are true when the event kicks off on August 12th in the US. Stay tuned and we’ll have all the details for you as soon as they’re available.
