After shaking up their smart phone and wearable lineup earlier this year, Motorola is refreshing their line of foldables, bringing the motorola razr fold to Australia alongside the new motorola razr 70 ultra, motorola signature & moto buds 2 plus Swarovski edition.
Officially launched in March, and landing in Australian stores on the 15th of July, the razr fold has been hotly anticipated as motorola’s first book-style foldable.
With a 6.6″ external display that can fold out to a larger 8.1″ 2K resolution LTPO internal display, the razr fold complements Motorola’s iconic flip style phones and bridges the gap between work and play in a meticulously designed package, and brings along Sound by Bose technology for a complete audio/video experience.
Praveena Raman, Head of Motorola ANZ, said:
“The motorola razr fold is a landmark moment for Motorola in Australia. We are fulfilling a growing consumer need for a device that goes beyond communication and truly keeps pace with every part of modern life. Beyond being our first book-style foldable smartphone, it’s a device that genuinely adapts to how people live, work and create, setting a new standard for what a foldable can do.“
The motorola razr fold uses a precision-engineered stainless steel hinge as well as Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 adding durability and resiliency for their first book-style foldable and comes in two colour options, PANTONE Blackened Blue and PANTONE Lily White.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, which is paired with 12GB of DDR5 RAM with RAM Boost, and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The 6,000mAh battery inside the razr fold can deliver up to 43 hours of power motorola says, with 80W TurboPower fast charging support to top it up quickly when needed.
The razr fold includes what Motorola describes as a ‘gold standard in foldable photography’.
The phone includes a 32MP selfie camera on the inner display, and 20MP on the outer – but it’s the triple rear camera array that really shines with a #1 foldable ranking over at DXOMARK.
The rear camera system includes a 50MP Sony LYTIA 828 main sensor which includes Pantone validated colour, and paired with a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Ultra-wide sensor with 122˚ field of view and also adds Macro Vision capability for close up work.
Powered by Android 16 with motorola’s Hello UI, it’s set to receive seven Android OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates.
The phone includes multiple AI agents, including both Google’s Gemini and Perplexitiy AI, giving you a choice between the two.
You can pre-order the razr fold ahead of the 15th of July launch date – or wait for Trev’s review which is coming soon. The phone is available in PANTONE Blackened Blue and PANTONE Lily White for

You can also pre-order the razr fold through Telstra from July 7th.
The iconic razr flip is also getting a refresh, with the razr 70 ultra also coming down under.
The razr 70 ultra design is familiar with a 4” cover display where you can access your apps, conversations and live notifications, or fold it out to use the 7” LTPO AMOLED inner display – and you get that satisfying snap as you flip it closed.
Praveena Raman, Head of Motorola ANZ, said:
“With the motorola razr 70 ultra, we continue to push the boundaries of what a flip phone can be, delivering flagship performance in a refined, compact form. We’re also expanding our commitment to premium craftsmanship with our Brilliant Collection series, introducing editions of the motorola signature and moto buds 2 plus with crystals by Swarovski, reinforcing our belief that technology should do more than just perform; it should be a tool of self-expression.”
The phone comes with a refined titanium-reinforced hinge for improved durability, and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic on the front display to give it better drop protection.
It’s coming in only one colour option: PANTONE Orient Blue, which has a finely-embossed Alcantara texture.
This is motorola’s most powerful razr ever made, running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform with 12GB RAM + RAM Boost, it includes 256GB of on-board storage and comes with a 5,000mAh Silicon Carbon battery offering up to 36 hours of battery life and supports 68W TurboPower charging to get you a full day use in just eight minutes.
The razr 70 Ultra includes a triple 50MP camera system including the first flip phone to use a 50MP LOFIC sensor which is able to capture 6x more dynamic range in any lighting condition – a true step forward for mobile photography.
The system also includes a 50MP ultrawide angle sensor capable of up to 122° field of view, and brings Macro Vision capabilities as well for really up close shots and a 50MP selfie camera embedded in the inner display.
The hinged displays offer a range of flexible shooting options, including the Flex View position which transforms the phone into an on-the-go tripod giving you a steady base to take a group shot and more with hands-free shooting, and there’s new AI-powered camera features like Camcorder Rotate to Zoom, Group Shot and Signature Style.
Available to pre-order today through JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, the motorola razr 70 ultra in PANTONE Orient Blue is priced at $1,999.
Expanding motorola’s Brilliant collection announced last year is the new motorola signature and moto buds 2 plus with Swarovski crystals.
Previously reviewed earlier this year, this new edition Brilliant Collection motorola signature will be adorned by Swarovski Crystals, with the phone showing off in a Pantone Violet Indigo with the crystals arranged in a striking 3D-quilted pattern.
We also checked out the moto buds 2 plus earlier this year, and they too will get the Pantone and Swarovski treatment, with the same PANTONE Violet Indigo colourway and Swarovski crystals.
You’ll be able to get your hands on the new motorola signature and moto buds 2 plus Swarovski edition in PANTONE Violet Indigo exclusively through Telstra for $1,799 from July 7th.
