OPPO Brings Creator-Focused Reno16 Series to Australia Starting at $999

OPPO have announced the latest Reno16 series will be launching in Australia later this month starting from $999.

Launching on July 23rd, OPPO will bring both the  Reno16 Pro and Reno16 to our shores, both phones aimed at the next generation of mobile creators, the phones offer great cameras with a new Creator Hub offering AI-powered editing tools designed to make content creation ‘more playful, personal and shareable’.

The Reno16 series will use an aerospace-grade Aluminium Frame with a new standout 3D Pop Planet Design with their Pop White edition including a floating nebula-inspired effect that shifts with the light. 

Both the Reno16 F and Reno16 Pro will be available in the new Pop White edition, with the Reno16 F also getting a Twilight Violet option, while the Reno16 Pro will get a Starlight Black colourway – and both devices using an IP69K dust and water resistance rating.

The Reno16 series will feature FullHD+ resolution AMOLED displays, with the Reno16 Pro using a compact 6.32” screen, while the Reno16 F will have a larger 6.57” screen.

Under the hood, the Reno16 series is powered by MediaTek Dimensity processors with the Reno16 Pro using the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super Platform paired with 12GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB of on-board storage, while the Reno16 F will use the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy Platform paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB of on-board storage. 

The Reno16 Pro includes a 6,000mAh battery with support for OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC charging, while the Reno16 F will include an even larger 6,500mAh battery but supporting 45 W SUPERVOOC charging.

The Reno16 series features a triple rear camera system, with the Reno16 Pro using a 200MP main sensor with 50MP Ultra-Wide sensor with 116° field of view, while the Reno16 F will use a a 50MP Telephoto sensor with 8MP Ultra-Wide sensor – also with 116° field of view. Both include a 50MP sensor with 3.5x optical zoom.

The Reno16 series will introduce their Creator Hub within the Photos app, giving users a single place to access AI-powered editing tools. 

These tools include AI Remix Collage, letting you combine photos and short videos with animated stickers, outlines and text into arrangements, as well as pulling moving subjects from Motion Pictures or videos and making shareable stickers. 

The phones will run Color OS 16 based on Android 16 with OPPO committing to 5 major OS updates and 6 years security updates across the Series. 

As part of the Reno16 Series launch, OPPO is also launching the new AI Snap Key which will give users fast access to AI Mind Space. 

Using the AI Snap Key will let you quickly capture, or even organise content on-screen, letting you save important details or ideas and develop those sparks of inspiration, while keeping track of them more easily. 

The Reno16 series will also introduce AI Mind Pilot, which can wrangle multiple AI models offering more relevant, context-aware assistance by utilising data found in the AI Mind Space and suggesting the best model for your query, even letting you compare responses from multiple agents.

,599 in Pop White and Starlight Black, while the Reno16F will be available for 9 in Pop White and Twilight Violet. 

The Reno16 Pro and Reno16F will be available through  JB Hi Fi, Officeworks, Harvey Norman, and OPPO Australia’s Online Store – with The Good Guys also stocking the Reno16 F.
