***Early Access and Season 1 tips off today!!*** NBA 2K27 revealed in full with new and improved features

All the information you have been waiting for on NBA 2K27 has been revealed in a Preseason Breakdown.  New Gameplay details were revealed alongside MyTEAM, MyCAREER and MyPLAYER additions to last year’s game.

The amount of new content revealed for NBA 2K27 is extensive; for more information, visit the NBA 2K27 website.  The game now delivers more balanced gameplay, with players of all skill levels benefiting from offensive moves such as step-through up-and-unders, a Dynamic Layup Engine, and Expanded Dribbling Customisation.

Defence is also equalised with a redesigned hands-up defence, a new shot contest system and a new collision system.

MyTEAM in NBA 2K27 has been streamlined so every card in your team matters, and the cards you run will get better the more you play them.  The new Player XP system allows all Player Cards ways to level up and unlock rewards.  MyTEAM also now includes rotating multiplayer modes, a unified auction house giving you more ways to build, play and upgrade your team.

NBA 2K27 introduces the first Co-ed City allowing male and female MyPLAYERS to compete together within the City.  The City has also been redesigned with new after-dark designs such as Rucker Park in Street Kings.

MyCAREER will now let players build their careers across one of five historical eras, from my favourite era, the Magic vs. Bird Era (1984), to the Steph Era (2016).   The game also features an expansive cinematic story twice as long as last year’s, starring rapper and actor Vince Staples.

The W and MyWNBA also get an overhaul, with the ability to control both on-court play and front-office moves.  MyWNBA and The W include not just single-player experiences but an updated Game Attribute System and the tools to run a WNBA franchise.

The new NBA 2K HQ app will let players build and edit MyPLAYERS on the go.  You can then upload your builds directly to your home console and share them with friends.  It offers real-time messaging and full Crew management, keeping you connected to the game 24/7 if you wish.

NBA 2K27 launches September 4 on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. Deluxe Edition or Ultra Edition owners won’t have to wait long, as Early Access begins on Thursday, 27 August at 2:00 AM AEST.

For more information on all of the above new features, head on over to the 2K newsroom and read through the eight press releases.
