Samsung unveils the Galaxy Tab S12 Series Premium Tablets and announce the cross-platform Galaxy SmartTag3

Samsung have announced three new products designed to appeal to power users and everyday consumers.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the S12+

Two new Galaxy Tab offerings of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and the S12+ boast powerful performance within a slim profile with extended battery life and incorporated Galaxy AI.

Both tablets come bundled with an S pen for precise editing and note-taking to satisfy the needs of professional users and the prolonged battery life of the S12 Ultra at 23 hours and S12+ at 21 hours ensure productivity is maintained throughout any working day plus the night.

To keep these beasts cool, Samsung have developed a 3D Vapour chamber to dissipate that heat and to add to the impressive specs both models are rated IP68 water and dust resistant.

The S12 Ultra possesses a screen size of 14.6” and the S12+ comes in at 12.6” but with bevel sizes reduced from previous models you get more screen and less bulk. A thickness of only 5.1 mm is a remarkable achievement

To cap off the impressive specs, 4-channel special audio is on board running on Android 17 with a 6-month trial of Google AI Pro.

The Galaxy Tab S12 series will be available in Australia from the 22nd of October with The S12 Ultra from $2,299 and Galaxy Tab S12+ from $1,999.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag3

Also announced were the Galaxy SmartTag3 trackers. Smaller and lighter than previous models and importantly, for the first time these slimline trackers are cross-platform. By utilising Smartthings Find, both Android and iOS users can check and share a tag’s location and use Search Nearby across supported devices.

Compass View helps users narrow down the location of their belongings from up to 60m away using Bluetooth 6 audio.

Plus by accessing the Galaxy Find network, having others help you find your items just got easier. Geofencing called Place Notifications allow users to define an area and receive notifications when a tag either enters or leaves that area. Movement alerts can also be set so you don’t need to keep checking if there has been any activity

The SmartTag3 range will be available initially in Samsung’s home, South Korea but will be coming to Australia in the new year. Available in black or white with silicone cases with a keyring and a Loop Case also available to enhance your purchase.
