TP-Link Unveils their Wi-Fi 8 Portfolio headlined by Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Mesh routers

After teasing their upcoming Wi-Fi 8 platform earlier this year, TP-Link are back announcing their complete Wi-Fi 8 Lineup at IFA 2026.

The TP-Link Wi-Fi 8 line-up is headed up by the Archer 8 Ultra router and Deco 8 Ultra mesh Wi-Fi system, both built on the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn (Wi-Fi 8) standard.

The Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 (Archer BN800) can deliver up to 19 Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds and 10 Gbps wired connectivity. The router uses 18 internal antennas to ensure strong, consistent coverage throughout the home.

The Deco 8 Ultra BN22000* (Deco BN85) also uses a tri-band setup delivering up to 22 Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds and 10 Gbps wired connectivity.

TP-Link says that a three-pack of the Deco 8 Ultra can provide coverage of up to 910 sqm and supports more than 200 connected devices – perfect for your smart home.

The TP-Link Wi-Fi 8 routers will blend technology (and chipsets) from  Broadcom, Qualcomm and MediaTek with TP-Link’s hardware and software engineering to deliver their most reliable Wi-Fi connection ever.

And it’s reliability that is the key for Wi-Fi 8, with the new standard using a similar tri-band setup, and able to produce similar 46Gbps speeds as Wi-Fi 7. with a max theoretical 

Wi-Fi 8 brings the ability to use multiple access points, and Enhanced Long Range for smoother connections and improved uplink speeds. TP-Link will use their Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine to further strengthen coverage, manage congestion, and reduce interference for a more consistent connection throughout the home. 


TP-Link will be putting the Archer 8 Ultra up for pre-order on September 30th, while the rest of the TP-Link’s Wi-Fi 8 lineup, including mesh systems, travel routers and accessories will launch in 2027:

  • Deco 8 (Wi-Fi 8 mesh system) – Q1 2027
  • Roam 8 (Wi-Fi 8 travel router) – Q2 2027
  • Wi-Fi 8 range extenders and adapters – Q2 2027

Pricing and availability will be announced closer to the launch dates.
