Everyone is gearing up for the 2026/27 NBA season launch this week, including 2K games, with NBA 2K27’s Season 2 featuring the debut of the GOAT Builds, Patch 2.0, and new music.
The new GOAT builds are inspired by NBA legends, with animations and stats locked to preserve each player’s authentic feel while still allowing full access to Badges, Cap Breakers, and more. The GOAT builds exceed the standard physical and attribute caps of the MyPLAYER builder.
Sunset Beach returns to The City, and players can earn XP in the City, MyCAREER, and MyTEAM with new rewards, including the Indiana Pacers Mascot at Level 20 and the Clown Costume: Ankle Taker at Level 39. Season 2 rewards start with a Level 1 Diamond Jason Kidd and culminate in a Level 40 Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns.
The new Season 2 Beats Soundtrack includes music from BLACKPINK, BossMan Dlow, Linkin Park, and more, with five new mixes from Tyrese Haliburton. It also includes a new Space Jam 30th anniversary celebration and ten new tracks inspired by Rucker Park.
The Season 2 Pro Pass unlocks 40 additional levels of Halloween content, including rewards such as a Jack-O’-Lantern Scarecrow Costume, Jack-O’-Lantern Facepaint and a Headhunter Mask. Other rewards include 94 OVR Pascal Siakam, the Cleveland Cavaliers Mascot and ‘G-Wiz,’ the Washington Wizards Mascot.
Patch 2.0 is also live in the new season and brings updates across Gameplay, MyTEAM, Crew HQ, and MyCAREER Eras, eliminating ghost contests on shots, rebalancing steal animations and penalties, and more, some of which we touched on in our review of NBA 2K27.
NBA 2K27 is available on PlayStation 5 (PS5), XBOX Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. NBA 2K27 is now available on the Windows PC Store.
