GravaStar unveils its first-ever full-size mechanical gaming keyboard in Australia, the Mercury K98 Pro

Known for its cyberpunk-inspired industrial design language, GravaStar has once again launched a great-looking keyboard with a complete feature set in the 98% full-size Mercury K98 Pro.

With a full CNC-machined aluminium chassis, the Mercury K98 Pro features an exposed, skeletonised cyberpunk aesthetic while still delivering a soft keystroke across the entire keyboard thanks to its gasket-mounted structure.

The keyboard arrives with GravaStar’s proprietary UFO Mechanical Linear switches and a clean acoustic profile, creating a signature sound, thanks in part to the five-layer dampening system.

With an 8,000Hz polling rate over USB-C and 2.4GHz wireless, and response times of 0.1ms and 0.4ms respectively, the Mercury K98 Pro delivers up to 21 hours of battery life with full RGB and ambient lighting activated, and 228 hours with lighting disabled.

The keyboard also supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and is designed to deliver consistent responsiveness regardless of the connection.

The Mercury K98 Pro can be further personalised with the built-in 1.65-inch TFT display, customised via GravaStar’s web-based driver.  The keyboard also supports per-key RGB lighting with 19 presets and a music-reactive mode.  To complete the aggressive lighting, it adds 3-side surround underglow and foot-halo ambient lighting, extending the lighting beyond the keyboard onto your desk.

The GravaStar Mercury K98 Pro Mechanical Keyboard is available now for RRP AU9.99/NZ9.99 at Silk Gear online and in-store, soon at Scorptec, Centcom and Amazon.

If you’re in Melbourne, I encourage you to head into Silk Gear and check out their range, including a large selection of GravaStar gaming peripherals.
