What are you watching on Halloween night? While it’s thought of as a very Americanised tradition, we’ve been enjoying Halloween giving lollies and chocolates out to kids just having fun – and then relaxing with a scary movie after it’s all done. But how to choose? Well, Gemini can help says TCL.
A Smart TV’s built-in Google Gemini assistant can give you a list of personalised movie recommendations, taking into account the ages and of course the scare level you want to achieve….or avoid
Richard Falzon, Product Manager at TCL Electronics Australia said
“I know there are many film buffs who’ve seen nearly every movie under the sun and are always on the lookout for new suggestions. Halloween is the perfect occasion to test out your TV’s Gemini assistant as a movie discovery tool,” he explains. “It’s also a useful way for families and parents to find an age-appropriate movie this Halloween season. Gemini can suggest films for every generation, from young teens to an older crowd searching for something truly terrifying.
“Ultimately, Halloween is the night when people want their living rooms as dark as possible. Gemini can pick the film for those sitting on the couch, while also controlling your room’s lighting to make sure jump scares land.”
The TCL range includes a number of TVs with GoogleTV as the OS, with Gemini built-in, including their QD-Mini LED TV lineup and the SQD-Mini LED TV range. These TVs will be on sale in Australia in the lead-up to Black Friday, says TCL, including the 75-inch TCL C7L SQD-Mini LED TV, featuring 1,352 Precise Dimming Zones and Bang & Olufsen audio.
The Super Quantum Dot (SQD) technology on-board these TVs can deliver vivid colours at a high brightness, while the Mini-LED backlighting system and and Ultra Colour Filter gives finer control over lighting, letting you get those really deep blacks for the dark, scary scenes.
It’s not just movies that Gemini can recommmend, it can also control your Smart Home, giving you a way to control your lights, plugs, or split system air conditioning directly from your TV – so you can turn the movie on and get going without distractions.
You can check out TCL’s SQD-Mini LED range and more on the TCL website.
