Ring has never been one to let the grass grow under its feet, and that’s why it should come as no surprise that it has announced two new cameras, giving customers more choice with fewer concessions.
The new cameras, the Outdoor Camera 2K (2nd Gen) and the Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera 2K have been upgraded with new optics for Retinal 2K video quality.
The new Ring Outdoor Camera 2K (2nd Gen) can be powered by battery, mains power, or solar, giving it placement flexibility, especially with its improved water resistance. The Retinal 2K Video offers up to 6x enhanced zoom, a 140-degree field of view, and true-colour night vision in low-light conditions, but switches back to black and white in near darkness.
It includes all the usual Ring features such as 3D motion detection, 24/7 recording, rich notifications, privacy zones and motion zones, and complete control from the Ring app.
The second camera announced is the Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera 2K, which covers nearly every angle in your room with 360 degrees of pan and 175 degrees of tilt. It intelligently tracks motion across a room after detection with its computer vision-based motion detection.
Mains-powered,it features Retinal 2K video with up to 6x Enhanced Zoom, a built-in privacy shutter, live view and two-way talk.
The Outdoor Camera 2K (2nd Gen) and the Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera 2K are available now at major retailers for RRP AU9 and RRP AU9 respectively.
