Vodafone accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

The war is over, long live the king.  Well, Samsung and a few others might be hoping the king is about to be challenged with the Galaxy Tab 10.1 about to go head to head with the iPad 2.

With the legal battles over (for now), Samsung now have the right to sell the device in Australia and it will be ready for you to put under the Christmas tree this year. Samsung says the device will be at Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Good Guys, Myer, Bing Lee and Office Works “in time for Christmas shopping” with a price of $579 (16GB WiFi) and a $729 (16GB 3G).

Vodafone has come out and announced that as of now they are accepting pre-orders for the 10.1 at www.vodafone.com.au/galaxytab. They’ve announced 12 and 24 month plans for the device and data, with the lowest price being $39 per month over 24 months with 1.5Gb of data, at 12 months you can snap it up for $65 a month with the same data allowance

Android is improving and the publicity around this has been high, so demand will also likely be high.
